Hello! My name is Alicia Mejia. I am a sophomore at UNC Chapel Hill double majoring in Neuroscience and Psychology. I am from a small town, Taylorsville NC. My favorite hobby is to go hiking at NC State Parks. This past summer, one of the trips that I took was a state park hiking trip. I am currently working at the Early Brain Development lab under Dr. Gilmore, and I am excited to learn new things in microbiology this year! Fun fact: my favorite animal is a horse; I volunteered at a therapeutic horse riding facility for disabled youth a couple of summers ago! life changing:)
